Máximo Laura Taboada (born 18 November 1959 in Ayacucho)[3] is a Peruvian tapestry weaver, recognized as one of South America's most unique textile artists.
He is also known for starting the contemporary tapestry movement in Peru.[4]
Early life
Laura was born in Ayacucho, Peru. Laura is the fifth generation of weavers that learned his craft as a child at the side of his father while growing up in Ayacucho.
He learned his art by never silencing the internal self-exploration or the
