My work lives in the intersecting spaces of forced migration, trauma, and healing, all informed by my experiences as a clinician, educator and researcher.
Research
My research has focused on three specific areas: Experiences of forced migrants; Mental health interventions in low resource settings; and Mental health consequences of human rights work.
Clinical Work
While my current clinical work has focused on forced migrant populations, I have also worked with individuals and families dealing with chronic illness, and families in foster care.
Consultations
I provide human rights consultations and conduct forensic evaluations for cases in Immigration and Federal court involving torture, trauma, and maltreatment.
I have worked with international, private, and public entities, including the International Criminal Court in The Hague, The Bronx Defenders, and Federal Defenders of New York.
