Darlyn Campbell Newman, age 74, of West Jefferson, was called home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, December 3, She was born in Columbus to the late Mike and Eileen Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Hoyt and Thelma (Blaine) Graves, and Edith Braithwait Forbis and Norman Campbell, an infant son and granddaughter Savannah Joy Newman.
She graduated from West Jefferson High School in and married her high school sweetheart the summer after graduation. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry Newman, sons Zachary Hoyt (Elizabeth) Newman, M.D.
of Athens, Georgia; Jason Campbell (Jennifer) Newman of Franklin, Tennessee; daughters Rachel Ann Stanley of West Jefferson, and Addie Gayle Newman (Nick Courtright) of West Jefferson.
